Late Nite Jazz Jam at Luigis TONIGHT

My apologies for not sending out an email last week about the late night jazz jam at Luigis last Friday — honestly, I didn’t know who was playing or how it would go.  Well, it went GREAT!! Ended up being myself, Chris Hollar, and Matt Powers on bass, plus Josh Holmes and Dick Phelps joined us for a few numbers.  The restaurant was set up for 25% capacity, so only enough tables to seat about 40, and they were all FULL!  I cannot tell you how GREAT if felt to play again to a live audience.  I absolutely loved it and am looking forward to doing it again this Friday.

Luigis is understandably still hurting, too, so we are not being paid at this time, working for tips only, but happy to help Luigis during this time, and provide a safe place for people to go after hours and enjoy an adult beverage and some great music.

The tables are spaced out, the servers are masked, there’s plenty of sanitizer, and plenty of jazz.

Now I know that many still have concerns about getting out, and I can respect that.  As for me, I can’t stay cooped up, and I can’t not play music, its my life — this bird has to fly.  Come fly with me!

Live Jazz at Veritas Friday/Saturdays

Friday – GregTivis/TreyEfeney, 8 – 10

Sat – Jazzman Greg Tivis, 7 – 9

QUICK SURVEY:  We’ve got a fresh look, fresh menu, new faces, more variety in performing artists (Kurt Amelang, Mark Briles, Andrea Young, Rachel Bloem all perform at Veritas on rotation) I’ve even learned new songs myself! — So why don’t I see most of you at Veritas anymore?   Give me a one word reply.  Is it the music? Food? Price?  Competition/more choices? Service?  Have you had a bad experience? Personally, I would love to get more people to Veritas, because I think it’s a great venue for jazz, and I love the food, wine, and the dedication of the staff.  If something isn’t right, or if there is something we can do to earn your business back and have more support for the live music, please shoot me a reply. ~thanks, greg
